Summer days will surely return.

Tuesday saw the knit 'n' natter Christmas lunch - a turkey carvery at the local pub - and very nice too.

The group has been going now for nearly two years. Most of the ladies are the originals but we do have several new members and several honorary members (lol) - a teenager  who comes with her grandma during school holidays and another lady who comes when she is visiting her sister who is one of our regulars.

This year we have knitted for local special care baby units, Age UK, and the Children's Society.

We sent Christmas boxes to Link to Hope - I like this charity as they are a bit different.

Rather than filling a box of goodies for a child you fill a box for the whole family (as above). So you put in presents for Mom and Dad as well as the children together with a family game.

Or you can do a box for an elderly person........

We did several of each.

And new knitting projects are planned.

The nicest thing is the friendship, love and support that the group offer each other. Happiness can be knitted!

  1. How lovely! The boxes look full of love, all tucked inside. I like the way you tell of honorary members. That's so sweet.

  2. I hadn't heard of Link to Hope, but will have a look at their website. I love filling the boxes! We always did them in our French church.
