When I tried to upload photos from my computer I got this...

Whoops! You're out of space. You are currently using 100% of your 1 GB quota for photos. Upgrade storage
Photos are stored in your Picasa Web Albums account and are included in your 1 GB free quota for photos. Additional storage that you purchase is shared between several Google products and is in addition to your free quota. Learn more

Has anyone else had this - this has never happened before.
Blogger has also chopped up most of the posts I tried to upload today.

To be honest, I am ready to call it a day with blogging.

  1. I'm not a blogger but intending to be so soon. All the aggravation I hear about is always blogger. Sometimes there are difficulties just reading blogger blogs too. I've seen enough to know that I will not be starting up a blogger blog as it looks to be an omnishambles if you ask me. I've read about quite a few people getting the same message as you have. Some people have paid extra but I think other people have deleted photos from picasa and all has been ok. I'm sure people properly in the know will tell you properly.

Perhaps rather than stopping blogging which would be a great shame, you could transfer over to word press or type pad (there are others too). I never hear complaints about either of those although I expect they do have problems too.

  2. I've read about it Lynn, but it hasnt happened to me...yet. I think, if you can find Picasa, you might ned to delete a few photos. Don't stop blogging!

  3. Everyone is having this at once. It used to be five dollars per year, but now I guess it's thirty. It is the price of two pizzas and much more of a blessing, so I pay. I'd miss your pictures if you were not able to post them. No pressure (well, a little pressure!)

  5. Yes - like Pom Pom, I've been having to pay this small sum each year for a while now. It's easily worth it for me, and I'd like to think that you'll keep on posting!

  6. I've been blogging five years and have not had this happen yet. But I guess it is inevitable. So it will hit and I guess I'll bit the bullet and pay. $30? hmmm...seems a bit steep.

    Pausing in Advent with you...

  7. Ah, on second thoughts, I see it's more expensive now... but remember that dollars are not as big as pounds (I always remind myself!)

  8. Hello Lynn! I dropped over from the Pause for Advent link! Tis lovely to 'meet' you even if in horrid Blogger being mean circumstances! I had EXACTLY the same problem about 2 weeks ago. What I've done is I am using Flickr (through my Yahoo email acocount). You can upload your photos to there and then copy and paste the embedding code across from there to get the photos onto your blog. You can also sign up for Google + and it lets you upload ones of a certain size (but it seems a bit too much like Facebook for me so I didn't go for it). Or you can pay their ransom of $2.50 per month (which I vehmently decided I would not submit to!) x

  9. Hello Kezzie
Thanks for the info. I dislike paying this but I think with my health issues I would find it very difficult on bad days to remember what to do! So I paid up to keep things as they are. Days are long and I get a lot of enjoyment from blogging so I decided to go with the easier option :)
    Hope you visit again :)
