As the song says, "Life can be so sweet on the sunny side of the street" - so I always try to walk on the sunny side!
Your hats are bright and cheery! I know what you mean. It's very cold here, too. I heaped the blankets on last night because Bill is away speaking for a few days.
There is NO excuse for it. Criminals have human rights (which they should) but people on the streets seemingly have none. A home is a very basic right along with food, water and warmth. If a society can't provide that for everyone then it has failed. Not the people. A job too is a right, the world does indeed owe us a living as we were all born into it through the choice of others and again if a job that provides a living wage is not there for all, we need to change how society is set up. Everyone needs to be welcomed into the world and not made pariahs and scapegoats out of.I have no idea how people living on the streets manage, there must be people who die out there. It is outrageous that it continues and that we let it.
I know, in 2012?? Well done for doing something proactive. xx
Good for you, Lynn.
